The Art of Summer in Sedona

Paul Amadio of Verde Valley School with Eric Holowacz of SAC.

This summer (June 19 through Aug. 10), more than 125 artists, cultural producers and creative leaders will descend upon Verde Valley School in the Village of Oak Creek during the inaugural Sedona Summer Colony. The colony, a partnership between the school and Sedona Arts Center, is designed as an annual summer residency program that will allow participants to focus on ideas, new works and potential collaborations while exploring Sedona and learning about its landscape and heritage. Participants are coming from as far as Manitoba, Canada, and Tasmania, Australia. They will live in dorms on campus for one to four weeks at a time. The program provides the accommodations, meals, optional excursions and creative work space on campus – Sedona will provide the inspiration.
